The Lightning Goldfish's Magic Wish

In a tiny blue bowl on a sunny windowsill, lived a goldfish named Glimmer. Glimmer wasn't like other goldfish. While they swam in lazy circles, Glimmer dreamed of adventures beyond her glass walls.

One rainy afternoon, as Glimmer was swimming near the surface, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning flashed outside her window, and suddenly—ZAP!—a tiny spark jumped from the window and landed right in her water.

Glimmer's scales began to glow like little stars. She felt a tingle, like fizzy bubbles, all through her fins. When she looked at her reflection, she saw something amazing: she was now a lightning goldfish!

That night, while her family slept, Glimmer discovered her new power. Whenever she swam fast, streaks of rainbow light trailed behind her. The faster she went, the brighter she glowed.

But Glimmer wasn't just excited about being magical. She thought about her friend Tubby, the old goldfish in the neighbor's pond who couldn't swim well anymore. Every day, Tubby could only watch the other fish zoom past.

The next morning, Glimmer waited for another lightning storm. When it came, she caught a spark and rushed to Tubby's pond. With a gentle nudge, she shared her lightning magic.

Tubby's scales began to shimmer. His tired fins burst with energy, and soon he was swimming faster than ever! All the other fish gathered around, watching in wonder.

Glimmer realized something wonderful: the best magic isn't just making yourself special—it's helping others shine too.

Now, whenever lightning flashes across the sky, children everywhere say that if you look closely at fish ponds or fish bowls, you might see glowing fish swimming joyfully, sharing magic and friendship with everyone they meet.

And somewhere, a little goldfish with glowing scales smiles, knowing that kindness is the most powerful magic of all.
