The Lightning Girl's Magic Vitamin
Lila had the craziest hair in the whole world. It was a big, bouncy cloud of brown curls that went every which way, reaching for the sky like it wanted to touch the clouds.
"You need to take your vitamin," Mama said every morning at breakfast, holding out the little orange chewable circle.
Lila made a funny face. "Vitamins are for ordinary kids. I want to be extraordinary!"
One stormy afternoon, Lila was playing in her attic when she discovered something amazing. Her hair wasn't just curly—it was electrical! When she brushed it, tiny sparks zipped between the strands, making little *zzzt* sounds like miniature fireworks.
"Wow!" Lila gasped, watching her hair glow in the dusty attic mirror.
That night, a big storm rolled over her town. Rain drummed on the roof, and lightning flashed across the sky. Lila pressed her nose against the window, feeling something strange. Her hair was practically humming with energy!
Suddenly, the streetlights went out. The whole neighborhood went dark.
"Oh no!" Mama called from downstairs. "Baby Leo is crying. He's scared of the dark!"
Lila's heart raced. She remembered what her grandmother once said: *The wildest hair holds the most magic.* She grabbed her vitamin from the kitchen counter—she hadn't taken it yet—and swallowed it quickly.
Something amazing happened. Her curls began to glow softly, like a warm golden lantern. Little bolts of friendly lightning danced between them, lighting up the whole room!
Lila ran to Leo's room. Her magical hair illuminated every corner, casting a gentle, twinkling light. Baby Leo stopped crying and reached for the glowing strands with wonder.
"Look!" Leo giggled, clapping his tiny hands. "Stars!"
For three hours, Lila's hair shone bright enough to read stories, play games, and comfort her little brother until the power came back on.
The next morning, Lila stood taller than ever. Her wild curls bounced proudly as she realized something important: being extraordinary wasn't about magic powers—it was about using what made you special to help others.
And from that day on, Lila never forgot her vitamin again.
