The Lightning Garden

Luna was the best spy in her class. She could sneak up on butterflies and watch birds without them ever knowing. But one day, while spying through the bushes behind her house, she discovered something extraordinary.

A large brown bear sat in a hidden garden, carefully tending to glowing green plants. Luna held her breath. Was it... spinach? But this spinach sparkled like tiny stars!

The bear hummed a deep, rumbly song as he watered the plants with a silver watering can. The water shimmered as it fell, making rainbow patterns in the air.

Suddenly, lightning flashed across the sky! The bear held up a leaf of the magical spinach, and for one amazing moment, Luna could see THROUGH the leaf — it showed a secret underground stream beneath the garden!

"I see you there, little spy," the bear said kindly. Luna jumped. She'd been caught! But the bear's eyes were warm, not angry.

"I'm Bruno," said the bear. "And this is Lightning Spinach. It only grows during storms. One bite lets you see through water — all the way to magical kingdoms below!"

Luna's eyes widened. "Can I try?"

Bruno smiled and offered her a glowing leaf. "But remember — magic this special must be shared with friends."

The next stormy day, Luna brought her whole class. They watched in wonder as the lightning spinach revealed fish wearing tiny crowns, mermaids having tea parties, and crabs playing chess.

"Magic is best when it brings joy to others," Bruno said. Luna nodded. She had learned that being a spy wasn't just about discovering secrets — it was about finding something wonderful and sharing it with everyone.

From that day on, Luna and Bruno became guardians of the Lightning Garden, letting children peek into the magical world beneath the water... one glowing spinach leaf at a time.
