The Lightning Fox's Magic Padel
Lila loved rainy afternoons. While other children ran inside when thunder rumbled, she pressed her nose against the window glass, watching the sky dance.
One stormy Tuesday, something extraordinary happened. A bolt of **lightning** flashed so bright it turned her bedroom purple, but it didn't fade away. Instead, it curved and swirled like a glowing ribbon, landing softly on her windowsill.
"Hello!" said the lightning, which had shaped itself into a tiny, sparkling fox. "I'm Flash! I've been watching you wave at storms from your window."
Lila's eyes grew wide. "You can talk?"
"Of course!" Flash flickered happily. "And I need your help. I've lost my magic **padel**—it's a golden paddle that helps me paint rainbows across the sky after storms. Without it, I can only make rain!"
Lila grabbed her yellow raincoat. "Let's find it together!"
They searched the garden, where flowers drooped under gray clouds. They looked behind the old oak tree, where squirrels were hiding from the wet weather. Finally, they spotted something gleaming in the muddy puddle near the garden gate.
"My padel!" Flash cried, but then the little lightning fox's spark dimmed. "Oh no... I can't reach it. I'll disappear if I touch the mud."
Lila didn't hesitate. She waded into the puddle, rescuing the golden paddle. As she handed it to Flash, something magical happened—the padel began to glow, and rainbows erupted from it, swirling around them both.
"Thank you!" Flash said warmly. "You're not just someone who watches storms anymore. You're my **friend**—the bravest friend I've ever met."
From that day on, whenever storms came, Lila would find a special rainbow waiting just for her, painted across the sky by her lightning friend. She learned that the best adventures don't just happen to brave people—they happen because brave people choose to help, even when things seem scary or impossible.
And sometimes, the most wonderful friends come from the most unexpected places—like a windowsill on a stormy afternoon.
