The Lightning Elevator
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's attic. It was full of mysterious treasures, but the most curious thing was the old brass door in the corner. Behind it sat a tiny room with a shining metal **cable** disappearing into the clouds above.
"That's the Sky Elevator," her grandmother whispered with a wink. "But it only works during thunderstorms."
That very evening, dark clouds gathered. CRACK! **Lightning** flashed across the sky, and suddenly the little room began to rise! Lily held her breath as she floated higher and higher, past the treetops, past the birds, until she reached a magical floating garden.
There, a friendly dragon named Sparkle was crying. "I've lost my glow," she sniffled. "I haven't eaten my star-**spinach** in weeks."
Lily's grandmother had always said that vegetables were important, but she'd never imagined they could make dragons glow! She found the precious spinach patch growing beside a rainbow stream. Sparkle took one bite and—POOF!—her scales shimmered like thousands of tiny stars.
"Every color contains a special **vitamin** for a different magic," Sparkle explained. "Orange gives fire powers. Green makes you glow. Blue lets you breathe underwater."
Lily returned home with her pockets full of magical vegetables, ready to share the secret with her friends. From that day on, she never complained about eating her greens—and sometimes, just sometimes, she could make her fingertips sparkle like stars.
The end.
