The Lightning Cat's Secret Friend
Mia loved storms. She would press her nose against her bedroom window, watching lightning paint the sky in bright zigzags. But tonight was different.
During the biggest flash, she saw something amazing – a cat running across the telephone cables outside her house! The cat's fur glowed with each lightning strike, shimmering like captured starlight.
Mia opened her window wide. "Here, kitty kitty!"
To her surprise, the cat jumped inside, landing softly on her rug. But this wasn't an ordinary cat. Its eyes were bright yellow, and tiny sparks danced at the tips of its ears.
"I've been waiting for someone to notice me," the cat said. "My name is Flash. I'm not a regular cat. I'm a Lightning Cat!"
Mia's eyes grew wide. "You can talk?"
"Only to special friends," Flash purred. "Would you like to see where I go during storms?"
The cat guided Mia to an old, thick cable that ran from the telephone pole to her house. But in the storm light, it wasn't just a cable anymore – it glowed with rainbow colors!
"Hold onto my fur," Flash said. "We're going for a ride!"
Together, they ran up the magical cable, zooming higher and higher into the clouds. Lightning flashed around them like fireworks, but it wasn't scary – it was beautiful! They arrived at the Sky Kingdom, where lightning creatures danced and played.
"Welcome, Flash!" called a giant lightning bird. "Is this your new friend?"
"Yes!" Flash puffed out his chest. "This is Mia. She's brave and kind. She noticed me when no one else did."
The lightning creatures taught Mia how to dance with the rain. She learned that even though storms seemed scary, they were just nature's way of washing the world and bringing rain to the flowers.
When dawn came, Flash carried Mia back home, sliding down the rainbow cable like a slide.
"Will I ever see you again?" Mia asked, hugging her new friend.
"Every storm," Flash promised. "And whenever you feel lonely, just look at the sky. I'll be there, running across the clouds, thinking of my best friend."
From that day on, Mia never feared storms. She knew that in every lightning flash, her friend Flash was saying hello. And sometimes, if she looked very carefully, she could see a glowing cat running through the sky, leaving trails of magic behind.
