The Lightning Cat's Midnight Game
Once there was a fluffy orange cat named Pip who loved the sport of padel. Every night, when the moon rose high, Pip would sneak to the old court behind the abandoned barn to practice his swings against the wall.
One particularly stormy evening, as lightning cracked across the sky, Pip met someone unexpected—a massive black bull who was carefully pushing a padel ball with his nose.
"I'm Barnaby," the bull rumbled gently. "Everyone's scared of me because I'm so big. But I just want to play."
"I'm Pip," said the cat. "And I'd love to play with you!"
Just then, a strange figure shuffled from the shadows. It looked like a zombie—greenish skin, tattered clothes, groaning softly. Pip and Barnaby froze.
But the "zombie" spoke in a whispery voice: "I heard the ball bouncing... may I join?"
This was Zed, who looked scary but was actually the kindest soul. A magical accident had made him appear zombie-like, but he loved games and friendship.
The three became inseparable. During lightning storms, Pip discovered his fur would glow with magical energy, making the games even more exciting. Barnaby's strength helped Zed feel stronger too. And Zed? He was the best padel player any of them had ever seen.
The townspeople soon learned that scary appearances don't mean scary hearts. The cat, bull, and zombie played padel under the lightning-filled sky, teaching everyone that friendship and fun come in all shapes and sizes.
