The Lightning Cat's Magic
Luna loved her black cat, Midnight. He was the best friend a girl could have, with soft fur like velvet and eyes that glowed like tiny moons. Every evening, they would sit on her porch together, watching the sky paint itself with sunset colors.
One stormy afternoon, something magical happened. Lightning flashed across the dark clouds, and Luna noticed something strange. Each time the lightning cracked, little sparkles rained down from the sky like glittering sugar. Midnight chased them with delight, his tail twitching with excitement.
"Come back, Midnight!" Luna called, but her cat darted toward the old garden where Grandma's flowers had withered months ago.
Luna ran after him and gasped. Where the lightning sparkles touched the brown petals, flowers were blooming again! Roses, sunflowers, daisies—all stretching their petals as if waking up from a long nap. It was like a zombie garden, coming back to life more beautiful than before.
Midnight pranced through the revived flowers, purring so loudly it sounded like a tiny motor. Luna laughed and danced with him under the glowing sky. Grandma came outside and smiled, tears in her eyes.
"The lightning magic," she whispered. "It only comes to true friends who really, truly love each other."
Luna hugged Midnight tight. The zombie garden bloomed for weeks, and every time lightning flashed, Luna and her best friend would run outside, ready for more magic.
"Friendship," Luna learned, "is the most powerful magic of all. It can bring even the most forgotten things back to life."
