The Lightning Cable's Magic

Lily and Max were best friends who loved exploring. One rainy afternoon, they found an old, forgotten cable behind the garage. It was thick and black, with strange symbols along its sides.

"What do you think this is?" Max asked, tracing the symbols with his finger.

Suddenly, lightning flashed across the sky! CRACK! BOOM! But this wasn't ordinary lightning — it was purple and sparkly, dancing like ribbons through the clouds. The cable began to glow, pulling them upward into the storm!

"Hold on!" Lily cried as they floated higher and higher.

The lightning wove around them, forming a magical pathway through the sky. Soon they weren't just floating — they were swimming through the clouds! The air felt cool and soft, like floating in a dream. Stars twinkled around them, friendly as fireflies.

"Welcome!" called a voice. A shimmering cloud-creature appeared, holding a magical silver racquet. "I've been waiting for players for my favorite game — Padel of the Winds!"

"What's padel?" asked Lily, her eyes wide with wonder.

"The most magical game in the sky!" the cloud-creature laughed. "We hit starballs back and forth. Each bounce spreads happiness wherever it lands!"

Max and Lily played for hours, laughing as starballs popped into confetti and rained joy upon the world below. Every time someone scored, rainbow lightning arced across the heavens.

"Time to go home," the creature said gently as the storm passed. "But remember — the magic stays with you."

The cable lowered them back to their yard, soft as a feather. The next day at school, when Lily's classmate felt sad about losing her game, Lily knew what to do. She pretended to hold a magical racquet and "hit" an invisible starball toward her friend.

To everyone's surprise, Sarah smiled. "I feel... better!"

Max grinned. Sometimes the best magic isn't in lightning bolts or flying cables. It's in sharing joy with others — especially your friends.
