The Lightning Bull's Secret Pyramid
Lila loved summer evenings, when the fireflies danced above her grandfather's orange grove. One night, as she watched the tiny lights flicker like captured stars, something magical happened.
A bolt of lightning flashed across the clear sky—not a scary storm cloud lightning, but soft and purple, like a ribbon of magic. It spiraled down toward the oldest orange tree in the grove.
Lila followed, her heart fluttering like moth wings. At the base of the ancient tree, she discovered something impossible: a miniature pyramid, glowing softly in amethyst light, no bigger than a shoebox.
Inside the pyramid sat a tiny bull carved from polished amber. As Lila reached out, the bull's eyes opened—warm, kind eyes the color of honey.
"I've waited centuries for someone brave enough to find me," the bull said, his voice like distant thunder. "I am Taurus, guardian of courage. Every hundred years, lightning magic guides a special child to my pyramid."
He pawed the ground with tiny hooves. "Inside this pyramid, I keep the world's lost courage. When children are afraid, I send them pieces. But my orange magic is fading—I need help recharging it."
Lila noticed the bull's amber body was dull, not glowing like before. "How can I help?"
"Place one perfect orange from this tree beside me. The fruit that grows where lightning struck absorbs its magic. Together, we'll restore courage to the world."
Lila found the largest, brightest orange on the lowest branch and laid it gently beside the amber bull. The fruit's skin began to sparkle—first gold, then ruby, then violet.
The pyramid blazed with light. Lightning bolts of every color streamed outward, carrying orange magic into the night sky. The bull's amber body glowed warmly again.
"Thank you, Lila," Taurus said. "Tonight, frightened children everywhere will dream brave dreams. Because of you."
Lila ran home, her pocket warm with a tiny amber bull figurine. From her window, she watched the sunset paint the sky orange, knowing she'd helped fill the world with courage.
