The Lightning Bull's Secret Game

Max gripped his orange ball tightly. It glowed softly in his hands, pulsing like a tiny heartbeat. Thunder rumbled outside, making the windows rattle. His mom had given him the ball—a magical gift from his grandmother who said it would lead him to adventure when the time was right.

"This is it," Max whispered to himself.

The lightning flashed again, and Max saw something impossible in the backyard. A magnificent golden bull stood near the old padel court, its horns crackling with electricity. Max grabbed his iPhone and ran outside, rain soaking his pajamas.

"You can see me?" the bull's voice rumbled like distant thunder.

Max nodded, too amazed to speak.

"I am Orion," the bull said. "Guardian of the Storm Court. Every hundred years, I must play the game of lightning to keep the world's energy balanced. But my opponent has disappeared."

The orange ball in Max's hand pulsed brighter.

"Perhaps," Orion said wisely, "you were meant to help."

Max learned that padel wasn't just a sport—it was an ancient magical game. The bull taught him how to hit the ball with the special paddle, creating sparks of light with every shot. Together, they played under the lightning, the orange ball leaving trails of magic across the sky.

"You have a kind heart, Max," Orion said as the storm passed. "Courage isn't about not being scared. It's about doing what's right even when you are."

As dawn broke, Orion gifted Max a small lightning-shaped stone. "Keep this, and remember: magic exists for those brave enough to believe."

Max never saw Orion again, but whenever thunder rumbled, he'd touch his orange ball and smile, knowing somewhere in the clouds, a golden friend was watching over him.
