The Lightning Bull's Secret
Lily loved to spy on the clouds from her bedroom window. Every afternoon, she'd watch them float by like fluffy cotton candy ships, imagining what magical worlds lay beyond.
One stormy evening, as lightning flashed across the sky in brilliant purple streaks, Lily spotted something extraordinary in the field behind her house. A magnificent bull stood calmly in the rain, but this wasn't any ordinary bull — his horns glowed with a soft golden light!
Lily grabbed her yellow raincoat and ran outside. "Hello there!" she called.
The bull turned his massive head gently. "Hello, little one. I'm Barnaby, the Lightning Bull."
"You can talk!" Lily gasped.
"Only during storms," Barnaby smiled. "When lightning strikes the earth, it fills me with magic energy. That's how I make these." He lowered his head, and a small glowing orb appeared on the ground.
Lily picked it up carefully. "What is it?"
"A storm vitamin," Barnaby explained. "One bite gives you courage for a whole week. But you must promise to use it only to help others."
Lily thought of her friend Emma, who was too scared to perform in the school talent show tomorrow. "May I have one?"
Barnaby nodded. Lily took a tiny bite — it tasted like rainbow and peppermint! Suddenly, she felt warm and brave, like she could do anything.
The next day, Lily sat beside Emma backstage. "You'll be wonderful," Lily said, sharing her magical courage.
Emma took a deep breath and stepped onto the stage. Her voice rang out clear and strong, and everyone cheered.
That night, Lily whispered thanks to the sky. The clouds twinkled back, and somewhere in the distance, Barnaby's golden horns flashed in the dark.
Lily learned that true magic isn't just about special powers — it's about using what you have to help your friends be brave too.
