The Lightning Bull's Secret
Lily loved summer nights. She'd sit by the backyard pool, watching the sky. One evening, during a thunderstorm, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning struck the old oak tree, and when Lily ran to check, she found a glowing cable hanging from the branches.
"What are you?" she whispered, tugging gently. The cable pulsed with warmth, like it wanted her to follow. Lily's heart raced as she climbed higher and higher until she reached the clouds.
There, standing in a pool of starlight, was the most magnificent creature she'd ever seen — a bull made entirely of lightning! His horns crackled with energy, and his eyes shone like tiny suns.
"Hello, little one," the Lightning Bull spoke, his voice like distant thunder. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find my cable."
Lily's eyes widened. "You're beautiful! But why were you hiding?"
The Bull sighed, and little sparks floated from his nostrils. "People fear lightning. They think I'm dangerous. But I'm not. I'm the guardian of something precious." He nudged a glowing blue bottle toward her. "These are Storm Cloud Vitamins. They give children the courage to face their fears."
Lily understood immediately. Her little brother was afraid of everything — especially thunder. "Can I have one? For Tommy?"
The Lightning Bull smiled. "One sip, and he'll understand that storms are just nature's way of painting the sky. But you must promise never to tell anyone about me. Magic only works if it's kept secret."
Lily promised, took the bottle, and slid down the cable. That night, she gave Tommy a single drop of the Storm Cloud Vitamin. When the next storm came, instead of hiding under his bed, Tommy stood at the window, grinning as lightning flashed across the sky.
"Look, Lily!" he shouted. "The Lightning Bull is painting again!"
Lily smiled, knowing that somewhere above the clouds, her friend was watching, happy that another child had learned to see the magic in the storm.
From that night on, Lily never feared thunder. She knew the Lightning Bull was up there, turning scary moments into beautiful ones — all thanks to a mysterious cable, a magical pool, and the courage to believe in something impossible.
