The Lightning Bull's Promise
In a village where the sky met the earth, lived a young girl named Mia who loved storms. While others hid indoors when clouds turned dark, Mia would press her nose against the window, watching for the flash of lightning that painted the sky like nature's fireworks.
One afternoon, as thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy, Mia spotted something strange in the meadow. A magnificent bull stood calmly amid the tall grass, his coat shimmering with colors that changed like the rainbow. His horns glowed softly, and tiny sparks danced around his hooves.
"Hello there," Mia whispered, stepping outside with her yellow rainboots.
The bull turned his massive head and spoke in a voice like distant thunder. "Hello, little storm watcher. I am Ziggy, the Lightning Bull. I carry the sky's energy to places where light is needed most."
Mia's eyes widened. "That's the most magical thing I've ever heard! Can I be your friend?"
Ziggy smiled, and his horns twinkled. "Friendship is the strongest magic of all. But I must warn you — wherever I go, storms follow. Are you brave enough?"
"I'm not scared of storms," Mia said, her heart racing with excitement. "I think they're beautiful."
From that day on, Mia and Ziggy became the best of friends. When her village's lighthouse lamp broke during a terrible storm, Ziggy raced across the waves, his lightning horns guiding ships safely to shore. When a nearby town's power went out during the darkest night of winter, Ziggy filled the sky with gentle lightning shows that made everyone smile instead of shiver.
But one day, Ziggy looked sad. "I must leave soon, Mia. The lightning needs me in a faraway place where children have never seen a storm before. They need to learn that thunder is just the sky saying hello."
Mia felt a tear roll down her cheek. "Will I ever see you again?"
"Whenever lightning flashes," Ziggy promised, touching his nose to hers, "remember that somewhere, I'm bringing light to someone who needs it. And you can be a lightning bull too — by being a friend who brings brightness to others."
Mia watched Ziggy gallop into the clouds, becoming part of the storm itself. Now, whenever she sees lightning, she waves hello, knowing her friend is out there making the world brighter, one spark at a time.
