The Lightning Bull's Magic Stream

Luna loved exploring the meadow behind her cottage. One afternoon, she followed a sparkling stream she'd never noticed before. The water glowed with tiny flickers, like captured stars dancing beneath the surface.

"Who goes there?" a deep voice rumbled.

Luna gasped. Standing beside the stream was the most magnificent bull she'd ever seen. His coat shimmered like storm clouds, and his horns curved like crescent moons. But his eyes were warm and gentle.

"I'm Luna," she whispered. "What are you?"

"I am Orion, guardian of the Lightning Stream," the bull replied proudly. "This water carries magic from the sky. Every thunderstorm, lightning strikes the mountain peak, and the water catches its power."

Luna's eyes widened. "Really?"

Orion nodded. "But something is wrong. The lightning hasn't come for weeks. The stream is growing weak. Without its power, the forest animals who drink here won't have their special strength."

"What kind of strength?" Luna asked.

"The lightning water is like a vitamin for the forest," Orion explained. "It gives the squirrels speed to escape hawks, the deer wisdom to find safe paths, and the birds courage to sing through storms."

Luna's heart swelled with determination. "How can I help?"

Orion's eyes twinkled. "You're small, but you have something I don't. You can climb to the mountain peak and see what's blocking the lightning."

The next morning, Luna packed a small bag and began her climb. The path was steep, but she didn't give up. Finally, she reached the summit—and discovered a giant boulder had rolled into the lightning's path!

She pushed and pushed with all her might. The boulder wouldn't budge. But then she remembered something her grandmother had taught her: sometimes the smallest forces can move the biggest obstacles when they work together.

Luna dug a small channel around the boulder, redirecting the flow. When the next storm came, lightning followed her path and struck the peak directly!

The stream below began to glow brighter than ever. Orion let out a joyful rumble.

"You did it, little friend!"

Luna slid down the mountainside, exhausted but happy. The forest animals gathered around, drinking the renewed lightning water. Their eyes shone with gratitude.

From that day on, Luna visited Orion and the Lightning Stream every week. She had learned that even the smallest person could make the biggest difference—and that true magic wasn't just in lightning or special water. It was in kindness, courage, and friendship.
