The Lightning Bull of Thunder Meadow

Lily loved stormy days. While other children hid inside, she pressed her nose against the window, watching the sky dance with purple streaks. But today, the storm called to her differently.

Behind her house, Thunder Meadow rumbled. Lily grabbed her yellow raincoat and ran outside. The tall grass swayed like an ocean of green. In the center of the meadow stood the most magnificent creature she had ever seen—a giant bull with a coat as white as fresh snow.

But this wasn't an ordinary bull. The tips of his shaggy hair crackled with tiny sparks that popped like miniature fireworks. His enormous brown eyes held ancient wisdom, and when he lowered his head to look at Lily, she felt warm all over, despite the cold rain.

"I've been waiting for you," the bull seemed to say without speaking. His voice rumbled in her heart like distant thunder.

Lily approached slowly, her heart beating fast. The bull bent his front knees, offering her his back.

"Hold onto my hair," he seemed to say. "It's time to run."

Lily climbed onto his broad back and buried her fingers in his thick, warm mane. Instantly, she understood—his hair carried the magic of storms!

The bull began running. But this wasn't normal running. With each powerful stride, his hooves barely touched the ground. They were flying!

Above them, the clouds parted. A bolt of lightning stretched across the sky like a ribbon of silver light. The bull's hair sparkled brighter, answering the lightning with joyful flashes. They raced alongside the storm, faster than the wind, faster than fear.

"Where are we going?" Lily called out, laughing as raindrops tickled her face.

"To show you something special," the bull replied.

They arrived at a small valley filled with baby animals—kittens, puppies, even a fawn—all huddled together, scared and shivering. The storm had frightened them, and they were far from home.

Lily understood. "They need help!"

The bull nodded. His hair began to glow with a warm, gentle light—soft lightning that didn't scare but comforted. One by one, the little animals crept closer, drawn to the warmth. The bull's light was like a magical campfire.

Together, Lily and the bull carried each animal home, running through the storm with their precious cargo. The lightning that usually frightened children now guided their way, illuminating the path with kindness.

When the last fawn was safe with its mother, the bull lowered his head. His mane still sparkled, but softer now, like stars.

"Thank you, Lily," he said. "Storms aren't just about power. They're about helping others find their way through the dark."

Lily hugged his enormous neck. "Will I see you again?"

"Whenever the thunder calls," the bull promised.

As he disappeared into the clouds, Lily noticed something small and silver in her palm—a tiny lightning bolt, warm and glowing like a promise. She ran home, her heart full of magic, already wondering what adventure the next storm would bring.

That night, Lily dreamed of thunder and friendship, knowing that even the scariest things could become beautiful when filled with kindness.
