The Lightning Bug's Secret Mission

In a garden where moonflowers glowed like tiny lanterns, there lived a lightning bug named Sparkle. Unlike ordinary fireflies, Sparkle's light flashed as bright as a miniature **lightning** bolt, crackling with tiny sparks that danced in the summer night.

One evening, Sparkle noticed something extraordinary. While the other fireflies danced near the roses, Sparkle had been appointed as the garden's special **spy**. Her important mission? Watch over the magical vegetables that grew in the forgotten corner behind the old oak tree.

The old gardener, Mrs. Greenleaf, had planted something unusual that year. Deep green **spinach** leaves shimmered with silver dust, and plump **orange** pumpkins glowed with an inner light like tiny captured suns. These weren't ordinary vegetables—they were magical!

"They contain a special **vitamin** called Wonder-V," whispered the garden's oldest firefly, Grandpa Glow. "One bite gives you the power to help others in need."

But a shadow was creeping toward the garden. A lonely storm cloud named Nimbus floated overhead, raining gentle tears because he had no friends and thought nobody wanted a rainy cloud around.

Sparkle knew what to do. She flew to the magical spinach patch, gathered a single shimmering leaf in her tiny legs, and delivered it to Nimbus. "Take this," she said bravely. "It's not ordinary food—it's friendship in a leaf."

Nimbus ate the spinach, and suddenly his gray clouds turned pink with warmth! The magical vitamin of Wonder-V showed him that rain was needed for gardens to grow, for flowers to bloom, for rainbows to appear.

Then Sparkle brought him an orange slice. As Nimbus ate, his rain became sweet sparkles that made flowers grow instantly wherever they fell. The other fireflies danced through the magical rain, creating a spectacular light show.

From that night on, Nimbus was no longer lonely. He watered Mrs. Greenleaf's garden by day, and at night, Sparkle would sit on his cloud, flashing her lightning light to guide the other fireflies home.

And sometimes, if you look closely at a garden after a summer rain, you might just see a lightning bug sitting on a cloud, eating spinach and oranges with a storm—because the best magic happens when you help a friend in need.
