The Lightning Bolt's Secret Friend
High above the clouds, where the sky turns dark and rumbling, lived a tiny lightning bolt named Sparkle. Unlike all the other bolts who loved to flash and zoom across the sky with loud crashes, Sparkle was curious. She wanted to see what happened down below, where the earth was green and full of mysteries.
One night, when the storm clouds drifted apart, Sparkle peeked through a gap and spied something amazing below. A fish with scales as bright as an orange was swimming in a lake that glittered under the moon. The orange fish looked lonely, circling the same small pond.
Sparkle had an idea! She would become a secret spy and watch over her new friend. Each evening, she tiptoed through the clouds and followed the orange fish's adventures. She saw him splash with other fish, play hide-and-seek among the lily pads, and share his food with friends who had no home.
"Why does he share so much?" Sparkle wondered one stormy night.
Her grandmother Lightning, the oldest and wisest bolt, flashed beside her. "Because he knows that happiness grows when you give it away, little one. That's his special power."
Sparkle's eyes glowed brighter. She had always thought her power was just making bright flashes and loud booms. But now she understood — her real magic was bringing light to dark places, just like the orange fish brought joy to his friends.
From that night on, Sparkle became the lake's guardian angel. Whenever the sky grew too dark, she would dance just close enough to the water to make ripples of light, helping the orange fish find his way home. And in return, the fish would swim in sparkling patterns, telling stories of friendship that made the whole sky smile.
And that's how a lightning bolt and a little orange fish became the best of friends, proving that magic happens when you share your light with others.
