The Lightning Bear's Secret Pool

Lily loved to spy on the clouds from her bedroom window. Every evening, she would watch them change shape — a castle, a dragon, sometimes even a bunny rabbit jumping through the sky. But her favorite time was summer, when the clouds grew dark and heavy with rain.

One afternoon, as thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy, Lily spotted something strange. A tiny bear, no bigger than her teddy, was dancing on the roof! His fur shimmered like moonlight, and with every skip, little sparks of lightning flashed from his paws.

"Come play!" the bear called, his voice jingling like wind chimes. "I know a secret place!"

Lily followed him through the garden, past the old oak tree, until they reached a hidden pool she had never seen before. But this wasn't an ordinary pool — the water glowed with rainbow colors, and instead of her reflection, Lily saw scenes of magical places: forests with crystal trees, mountains made of candy, oceans full of singing fish.

"This is the Wonder Pool," the bear said. "It shows you anywhere you can imagine. Dip your paw in, and you can visit!"

Lily reached out, but then stopped. "What about my friend Sam? He's lonely too. Can he come?"

The Lightning Bear's eyes twinkled. "That's the secret," he whispered. "The pool only works for hearts that think of others first. That's why I chose you."

Together, they fetched Sam, and all three friends dipped their hands into the glowing water. In a flash of lightning and sparkle, they tumbled into a world where everything was made of chocolate and friendship.

"Will you come back?" Lily asked the bear as they returned home.

"Always," he promised. "Whenever you need a friend, or want to share an adventure — just look for the lightning in the clouds. I'll be there."

That night, as Lily drifted to sleep, she understood the real magic: adventures are wonderful, but they're even better when shared with friends.
