The Lightning Bear's Riddle

Lily was picking strawberries in her garden when she spotted something glowing under a leaf. It was a tiny golden pill that sparkled like morning dew. On it, the word "vitamin" was written in rainbow letters.

"That's strange," Lily whispered. But she felt curious, so she swallowed it. Suddenly, the world seemed brighter. She heard a tiny voice say, "You can now talk to animals!"

A enormous brown bear emerged from the forest, wearing a wizard hat. "Greetings, young one! I'm Professor Bramble. I need your help!"

Lily wasn't scared. The bear looked friendly.

"The Great Sphinx guards the Rainbow Forest," Bramble explained. "She won't let anyone pass unless they solve her riddle. But she's very grumpy today because a storm trapped the sun behind dark clouds!"

Lily hopped on Bramble's back. As they approached the Sphinx, **lightning** flashed across the sky!

The Sphinx was magnificent — a lion's body with a human head, covered in golden hieroglyphs.

"WHO GOES THERE?" her voice boomed like thunder. "SOLVE MY RIDDLE OR BE TURNED INTO STONE FOREVER!"

Lily swallowed hard but stood tall.

"I have cities but no houses. I have mountains but no trees. I have water but no fish. What am I?"

Lily thought hard. Cities without houses? Mountains without trees? Water without fish? Then she remembered her geography lessons!

"A MAP!" she shouted triumphantly.

The Sphinx smiled, and her grumpy face lit up. "CORRECT! You may pass."

The clouds parted, and sunlight burst through. The Rainbow Forest bloomed with colorful flowers.

"Thank you!" Bramble hugged Lily. "Your courage saved us all."

Lily waved goodbye to her new friend and skipped home, knowing that sometimes the smallest adventures bring the biggest magic — and true friends come in all shapes and sizes.

That night, she dreamed of riddles, rainbows, and a very wise bear.
