The Lightning Bear's Midnight Swim
Emma loved her golden dog named Sparky. He had floppy ears and the most curious nose, always sniffing for adventure. Every summer night, Emma and Sparky would sneak down to the secret lake behind their house. The water was warm, perfect for swimming under the moonlight.
One magical evening, as Emma splashed in the glowing water, she saw something incredible. A bear stood at the edge of the lake, but not an ordinary bear. His fur shimmered like tiny bolts of lightning, and his eyes glowed soft yellow. Emma wasn't scared. Something told her this bear was special.
"Hello," she whispered. The lightning bear dipped his paw in the water, and the whole lake sparkled with tiny ripples of light. He wasn't dangerous at all. He wanted to play.
Sparky barked happily and paddled over to meet their new friend. The bear gently splashed water at them, creating dancing lights that looked like tiny stars floating on the surface. Emma laughed and splashed back. They played until the moon began to fade.
"Will you come back?" Emma asked as she dried off. The bear nodded, and for a moment, his fur flashed bright as real lightning before dimming to a soft glow.
Emma returned every night that summer. She learned that true friends don't look the same, and sometimes the most magical things appear when you're brave enough to say hello. The lightning bear taught her that friendship comes in all shapes and sizes—even ones that sparkle and glow.
