The Lightning Bear's Magical Gift

Lily loved her old straw hat more than anything. Every day, she would sit under the tall palm tree in her backyard, wearing her hat and reading adventure stories.

One hot afternoon, a strange storm gathered. Lightning flashed bright purple, and suddenly, a glowing bear appeared! He wasn't scary at all — his fur sparkled like tiny stars.

"Hello, Lily!" said the bear. "I'm Leo, the Lightning Bear. I travel through thunderstorms looking for brave friends."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "You're REAL?"

Leo nodded. "I came because tonight, you'll face something scary in your dreams. But I have a gift to help you be brave."

He tapped her palm gently, and a small lightning bolt appeared there, warm and tingly like a hug from the sun. "This is my courage. Whenever you're afraid, squeeze your palm, and you'll remember: you're stronger than you think."

That night, Lily dreamed she was in a magical arena. A giant bull with golden horns charged toward her! She wanted to run, but then she remembered.

She squeezed her palm. The lightning warmth spread through her. Instead of running, she stood tall and shouted, "I'm not afraid! I'm brave like lightning!"

The bull stopped. His golden horns softened into a crown. "You passed the test," he said kindly. "I was the Guardian of Courage. Many children run, but you stood your ground."

When Lily woke up, her palm still glowed softly. Outside her window, Leo the Lightning Bear winked at her from a passing cloud, then disappeared into the sunrise.

From that day on, Lily knew that true bravery wasn't about not being scared — it was about facing your fears, even when your knees trembled. And whenever she needed courage, she just squeezed her palm and remembered her magical friend.
