The Lightning Baseball Splash
Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every Saturday, he and his friends Mia and Sam played at the old diamond behind the park. But today, dark clouds gathered overhead as Leo stepped up to bat.
"I can do this," Leo whispered, clutching his favorite bat. He'd eaten his spinach at lunch just like his mom said - it would make him strong.
CRACK! The ball soared through the air, higher and higher, right into the storm clouds above.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed - not from sky to ground, but from cloud to bat! Leo glowed with a soft golden light.
"Whoa!" Mia gasped.
But then something strange happened. Leo's feet... they weren't on the ground anymore. He was swimming through the air as if it were water!
"Come on!" Leo called, splashing through the sky. "The ball went this way!"
Mia and Sam looked at each other. Then they did the craziest thing - they ran and LEAPT into the air, and suddenly they were swimming too!
Together, the three friends paddled through the fluffy clouds, laughing as they left little trails of sparkles behind them. They found the baseball floating near a rainbow.
"Best game ever!" Sam cheered, grabbing the ball.
When they swam back to the field, the lightning glow faded. But something had changed. Now, whenever it rained, Leo and his friends knew the secret - sometimes, if you believe in magic, you can go swimming without any water at all.
And nobody could strike them out when they were having that much fun.
