The Lightning Baseball Game
Maya loved playing baseball in her backyard. But today, something magical happened. As she tossed her favorite baseball into the air, a flash of lightning struck it! Instead of burning, the ball began to glow with golden light.
The ball floated toward the neighbor's yard, where a giant palm tree grew. Maya chased after it, even though the ground was muddy from yesterday's rain. Under the palm tree, she found the glowing baseball resting beside a strange papaya fruit.
The papaya shimmered like a rainbow. When Maya picked it up, it whispered, 'Take me to the garden patch where spinach grows.' How strange! A talking papaya!
Maya ran to her mother's garden. The papaya told her to plant a spinach seed right next to her baseball. As soon as she did, the lightning-ball flashed again, and the spinach began to grow at magical speed. In seconds, it was taller than Maya!
'Your wish will come true,' the papaya said, 'but you must share it with a friend.' Maya thought hard. Her best friend Leo had been sad lately because he couldn't play baseball anymore.
'I wish for Leo to play baseball with me again!' Maya shouted.
The lightning flashed one more time. The spinach leaves transformed into green tickets for a magical baseball game! When Maya gave Leo his ticket, his eyes lit up with joy.
They played the most wonderful game under the palm tree, with the magical papaya as their umpire and the lightning-ball as their special baseball. From that day on, Maya learned that the best magic isn't in glowing balls or talking fruit—it's in sharing happiness with friends.
