The Great Mechanical Bull Fail

Leo's first livestream was supposed to be legendary. Instead, it became the most roasted clip on the entire internet.

"You got this, bro!" Marcus yelled, holding his phone like a weapon. "Just don't get bucked off like last time."

"Shut up," Leo grumbled, adjusting his backwards cap. His hands shook as he reached for the mechanical bull's handle. The neon sign above read BULL'S EYE SALOON, and somehow Leo had convinced himself that riding this thing would finally make him interesting to Sophia, who'd been watching his stories for weeks.

The operator, a guy with way too many tattoos, hit the button.

Leo lasted exactly 2.3 seconds.

The bull sent him flying sideways, but the real disaster happened when his foot caught the thick **cable** snaking across the floor—the venue's notorious trip hazard that everyone talked about but nobody fixed. Leo went down hard, his headphones ripping free and tangling around his neck like a defeated python.

His phone clattered across the floor, still streaming. The comments were already blowing up: 💀💀💀, the most legendary L in history, new profile pic material.

"Bro, are you okay?" Marcus was practically wheezing, trying to help him up while still recording.

Leo's face burned. He pushed himself up, dusting off his jeans, trying to salvage what was left of his dignity. At least Sophia wasn't watching. At least—

"Leo!" A familiar voice called from across the room. Sophia herself, pushing through the crowd with Maya and some other seniors. "We saw you go down! Are you good?"

Leo's heart stopped. He opened his mouth to say something cool, something about how the bull was clearly rigged or how he'd totally nail it next time, but instead, Sophia's face went through this rapid succession of expressions: confusion → horror → trying not to laugh.

"You have..." She pointed at her own teeth. "There's... like... a whole forest of..."

Marcus finally lost it, doubled over laughing. "DUDE. That green smoothie you had earlier?"

Leo's tongue hit a massive chunk of **spinach** wedged between his front teeth. A full, obvious, bright green disaster that had probably been there since lunch.

The comments were screaming now: THE SPINACH THO, new reaction image unlocked, why is this so funny help.

Sophia's hand flew to her mouth, but not in a bad way. She was genuinely trying not to laugh, but her eyes were kind. "You know what?" She pulled a napkin from her pocket. "Honestly? That was the most realest thing I've seen all week."

She handed it to him. "Also, your stream was kind of epic. No cap."

Later, as Leo scrolled through the edits and edits of his spectacular failure that were already circulating—his face framed in **spinach**-green glory, the **cable** still visible in the background like a bad omen, the **bull** mid-buck behind him—he realized something.

Sometimes going viral for the wrong reasons was still better than not being seen at all.
