The Goldfish Who Swam Through Two Worlds

Emma was running through her backyard on a hot summer afternoon, her iphone clutched tight in her hand as she raced toward the pool. On the screen, her favorite game displayed a tiny orange goldfish named Fin who swam through an underwater kingdom.

"I wish you could see a REAL ocean," Emma whispered to her little goldfish friend as she sat at the pool's edge, dipping her toes in the cool blue water. "Not just pretend pixels on a screen."

Her sweaty fingers slipped - SPLASH! The iphone sank toward the bottom like a stone.

"No!" Emma cried, tears pricking her eyes. She plunged her arm into the water, but the phone was too deep.

Suddenly, the pool began to shimmer with golden light. A small orange goldfish appeared from nowhere - not on a screen, but REAL and alive! It swam down to Emma's sinking iphone, wrapped itself around it, and with a burst of magic bubbles, sent the phone floating right into her hands.

But when Emma looked at her screen, Fin was gone from the little aquarium. And in the pool, the goldfish was winking at her with a familiar sparkle.

"You wished for me to see real water," a voice seemed to echo in Emma's heart. "So here I am."

Emma spent the whole summer running to the pool every morning, watching her friend swim through REAL waves instead of pretend ones. She learned that magic exists when you least expect it - sometimes it just needs a little splash to set it free.

And sometimes, if you look closely at an old game on your phone, you might still see Fin waving his tiny fin, reminding all children who believe: the line between pretend and real is thinner than water, stronger than gold, and more magical than anything in the world.
