The Goldfish Who Spied on Stars
Toby's pet goldfish, Finnick, was not like other fish. While most goldfish just swam in circles, Finnick loved to spy on the world through his bowl. He watched Toby do homework, eat breakfast, and best of all, he watched the stars through the bedroom window at night.
One evening, Finnick swam to the surface and whispered, "Toby, I need your help. The Great Bull has lost something very special."
Toby rubbed his eyes. "Did my fish just talk?"
"The Great Bull in the sky — the constellation Taurus," Finnick explained. "He's sad because someone stole his favorite glowing orange from the celestial orchard. Without it, he can't light the way for dreamers."
Toby's heart beat fast. "How can we help?"
"You must become a spy too," Finnick said. "Close your eyes and make a wish."
Toby squeezed his eyes shut and wished with all his might. Suddenly, he felt light as air. When he opened his eyes, he wasn't in his room anymore. He stood in a meadow of silver grass under a sky painted with swirls of purple and blue.
There, sleeping peacefully, was the Great Bull. His fur was made of stardust, and his horns gleamed like polished moonstones. But he looked sad.
"Excuse me, Mr. Bull," Toby whispered. "I'm Toby, and I'm here to help."
The Great Bull opened one gentle eye. "A human child? How wonderful." He sighed. "The Moon Rabbit took my magical orange. He didn't mean to be greedy — he just wanted to see the light up close."
Finnick appeared beside Toby, now glowing with golden light. "Maybe we can share the orange instead," the goldfish suggested.
Toby had an idea. "What if the orange takes turns? One week it stays with you, then one week the Moon Rabbit can visit!"
The Great Bull's eyes sparkled. "A wonderful idea! Kindness always works better than keeping things for myself."
When the Moon Rabbit arrived, shy and sorry, everyone became friends. The magical orange floated between them, casting warm golden light.
That night, Toby fell asleep with a smile. His fish was no longer just a pet — Finnick was his best friend and adventure buddy. And sometimes, when Toby looked up at the stars, he swore he could see the Great Bull and the Moon Rabbit sharing their glowing orange, lighting up dreams everywhere.
Toby learned that the best adventures are the ones shared with friends, and kindness can solve any problem. Even a small goldfish and a small boy can make a big difference in the universe.
