The Goldfish Who Spied on Moonbeams

Lily's room was painted the color of ocean waves, and in the corner sat a round glass bowl. Inside swam Finley, a bright orange goldfish with shimmering scales that flashed like tiny stars.

Every night, Lily noticed something peculiar. Finley would swim to the top of his bowl and peek at the moon through the window. His little fish mouth would open and close, as if he were whispering secrets to the night.

"He's a spy!" Lily giggled to her mother. "Finley is spying on the moon!"

Her mother smiled. "Maybe he's just saying goodnight to the moonbeams."

But Lily knew better. One night, when moonlight spilled across her bedroom floor like liquid silver, she tiptoed to Finley's bowl. What she saw made her gasp.

Finley wasn't just swimming. He was catching moonbeams in his tiny fins! Each beam he caught would dissolve into glowing bubbles that floated to the bottom of the bowl. The water began to sparkle with magic.

"Are you a secret spy?" Lily whispered.

Finley swam close to the glass, his eyes wide with wonder. He tapped his nose against the side, then swam in circles around the glowing bubbles.

That's when Lily understood. Finley wasn't spying at all. He was COLLECTING magic from the moonlight, and those sparkling bubbles were actually tiny packets of something extraordinary.

"They're moonlight vitamins!" Lily realized. "Vitamins for dreams!"

Each bubble contained different colors – pink for laughter, blue for peace, gold for adventure. Finley was gathering dream vitamins to help children everywhere have wonderful nights.

From that night on, Lily never left Finley alone. She became his helper, placing his bowl where it could catch the most moonlight. Together, they collected enough dream vitamins to share with every child who needed sweet dreams.

And whenever Lily saw someone wake up smiling, she knew Finley had done his work. The little goldfish who spied on moonbeams had become the guardian of happy dreams everywhere.
