The Goldfish Who Spied on Lightning
Finnegan was not an ordinary goldfish. While other fish swam in lazy circles, Finnegan liked to spy on the magical creatures that visited the ancient pyramid beside his pond. Every night, he watched wizards, dragons, and spirits pass by through the pyramid's glowing entrance.
One stormy evening, as lightning flashed across the sky, Finnegan saw something extraordinary. A magnificent bull made entirely of golden lightning galloped toward the pyramid. His horns crackled with power, and his hooves left sparks on the wet grass.
"Please let me in!" the Lightning Bull called out. "The shadow creatures are hunting me!"
Finnegan had always been small, but he had always been brave. He swam to the surface and shouted, "Follow my voice! I know a secret way!"
The Lightning Bull dived into the pond, shrinking until he became a tiny spark of light that swam beside Finnegan. Together, they slipped through a hidden crack in the pyramid's wall.
Inside, the pyramid was filled with treasures and glowing crystals. But then came a hissing sound—shadow creatures were squeezing through the entrance!
The Lightning Bull grew back to his full size, his lightning horns brightening the dark chamber. But there were too many shadows.
Finnegan knew what to do. He swam to a bowl of magical water and splashed it onto the shadows. They hissed and faded, for pure water was their weakness.
"Thank you, tiny friend," the Lightning Bull said. "I thought being strong meant being big. Now I know that true strength comes in all sizes."
Finnegan smiled, his orange scales gleaming. "And I learned that even a small fish can make a big difference."
From that night on, Finnegan had the best friend in the world. Every stormy evening, the Lightning Bull would visit, and together they would protect the pyramid and have magical adventures. The other fish never understood why Finnegan was so happy—but Finnegan knew that the best adventures come from the most unexpected friendships.
