The Goldfish Who Knew Secrets

In a cozy blue bedroom lived a tiny goldfish named Finbar. He swam in circles around his glass castle, his orange scales shimmering like sunset clouds. But Finbar wasn't an ordinary fish. He had a secret gift.

Every night when lightning flashed across the sky, Finbar could see things no one else could see. The crackling bolts of light didn't scare him. Instead, they made his fins glow with a magical sparkle, and for just a moment, he could see through walls!

One stormy evening, a flash of lightning revealed something surprising. Finbar's best friend, a little girl named Lily, was crying behind her bedroom door. She thought nobody could hear her.

Finbar knew what he had to do. He would become a spy—not the sneaky kind, but the helpful kind. He waited for another lightning bolt to arrive. FLASH! His scales glowed bright gold, and suddenly he could see that Lily was sad because she had lost her favorite stuffed bear, Mr. Whiskers.

The next morning, Finbar swam excitedly when Lily peered into his bowl. He blew bubbles and swam toward her bookshelf, then back to her, then to the bookshelf again.

"You're trying to tell me something!" Lily gasped. She followed Finbar's directions and looked behind her books. There was Mr. Whiskers!

Lily hugged her bear tight. "Thank you, Finbar!" She pressed her finger against the glass. Finbar nuzzled against it, his heart as warm as the summer sun.

From that day on, Finbar understood something important: being a spy doesn't mean keeping secrets. It means using your special gifts to help the people you love. And the best magic of all? friendship.
