The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Sky

In a cozy blue bowl on a sunny windowsill lived Bubbles, a tiny goldfish with shimmering orange scales. But Bubbles had a secret: she didn't dream of swimming faster or finding the fanciest fish flakes. She dreamed of flying.

Every afternoon, she watched through her glass walls as children played padel in the backyard. The *click-clack-smack* of their racquets sounded like magic spells to her. How wonderful it would be to leap and dance like that!

One stormy evening, as rain tapped against the window, Bubbles noticed something peculiar. A small, round figure stood by her bowl, wearing a tiny raincoat and holding an even tinier notebook. It was a house spy—a mouse named Pip who watched everything in the house and wrote it down.

"I spy with my little eyes," Pip squeaked, "a fish who wants to fly."

Bubbles swam to the surface. "Is it really possible?"

Pip twitched his whiskers. "Anything is possible if you believe. Even goldfish can touch the sky."

Just then, *CRACK*—lightning flashed outside, illuminating something extraordinary. Through the rain-streaked window, Bubbles saw a magnificent bull in the neighbor's field. But this wasn't an ordinary bull. His golden horns glowed with starlight, and instead of running, he was slowly, carefully arranging flowers in a perfect rainbow pattern.

"That's Ferdinand," Pip whispered. "He's the kindest bull in the world. He teaches us that true strength is gentleness."

Bubbles's scales tingled. "Maybe I don't need to fly to be extraordinary. Maybe being exactly who I am—with my own special dreams—is magic enough."

The next morning, Bubbles did something no goldfish had ever done. When the children returned to play padel, she splashed her tail in perfect rhythm with their game. *Click-clack-splash, click-clack-splash.* The children laughed and danced along, and for the first time, Bubbles didn't feel like a fish stuck in a bowl. She felt like a conductor of joy.

Pip watched from his hiding spot, scribbling in his notebook: "Today I learned that the biggest dreams can fit in the smallest places, and friendship comes in all sizes—fins, fur, and feet alike."

And somewhere, beyond the window, Ferdinand the bull arranged one more flower, just for Bubbles.
