The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Running

In a blue bowl by the window, lived a tiny goldfish named Finn. Every day, he watched the world outside and dreamed. Finn didn't just want to swim. He wanted to feel the wind in his scales. He wanted to go running.

One morning, through the glass, Finn saw something wonderful—a fluffy golden dog named Sunny trotting down the street. Sunny stopped and peered right at Finn through the window.

"Hello, little friend!" Sunny barked happily. "You look like you're swimming in circles. Don't you want to play?"

Finn swam to the edge of his bowl. "Oh, I wish I could! But I'm just a goldfish. All I can do is swim around and around. But in my dreams, I go running through green grass and chase butterflies!"

Sunny's ears perked up. "That's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard! A goldfish who wants to run!" She thought for a moment, her tail wagging. "Wait! I have an idea!"

The next morning, Sunny's owner—a kind girl named Lily—carried Finn's bowl outside. Sunny was already there, pulling a bright red wagon filled with water.

"Today," Sunny announced, "Finn will go running with me!"

Lily carefully poured Finn into the wagon, which was filled with cool, fresh water. Then Sunny grabbed the handle in her mouth and began to run.

Finn couldn't believe it! As Sunny ran faster and faster, the water in the wagon sloshed and swirled. Finn tumbled and rolled and felt himself zooming forward, just like in his dreams! The wind rushed past. Trees flew by. Birds soared overhead.

"I'm doing it!" Finn bubbled joyfully. "I'm running!"

Every day after that, Finn and Sunny went running together. The neighbors would stop and smile at the sight—a happy golden dog pulling a wagon, with a brave little goldfish inside, living his dream.

Finn learned something wonderful: sometimes, when you have good friends, even impossible dreams can come true.

And Sunny learned something too: helping a friend achieve their dreams is even better than chasing your own tail.
