The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Running
Lily was a curious girl with a very big secret. In her bedroom, inside a small bowl filled with sparkly blue water, lived her best friend—a tiny goldfish named Finbar.
Finbar was no ordinary goldfish. While most fish just swam in circles, Finbar spent his days pressing his nose against the glass, watching Lily's cat run across the room. His greatest dream was to feel the grass beneath his fins and go running like the animals he saw through the window.
One sunny morning, Lily's grandmother came to visit. She was a wise woman with twinkling eyes and a pocket full of surprises. She gave Lily a small orange pill. "This is a special vitamin," she whispered. "It gives magic to those who believe."
Lily knew exactly who needed it. That night, under the moonlight, she gently dropped the vitamin into Finbar's bowl. The water began to glow, swirling with rainbow colors. Finbar grew and grew until a magnificent creature with shimmering golden scales burst from the bowl!
"I'm free!" Finbar cried. "Let's go running together!"
They raced through the meadow, Finbar's magical fins carrying him over the grass. But suddenly, they heard a loud snort. A massive bull blocked their path, its sharp horns gleaming in the moonlight.
Lily trembled, but Finbar swam bravely forward. "Hello, Mr. Bull!" he chirped. "Would you like to run with us?"
The bull blinked in surprise. No one had ever asked him to play before—all the other animals ran away from his scary horns. "I... I would like that very much," the bull said softly.
All three friends ran together under the stars—the girl, the magical goldfish, and the bull who just needed a friend. When morning came, Finbar returned to his bowl, but now he had magical water that let him visit Lily every night.
And the bull? He became the guardian of their meadow adventures, always ready to run with his two best friends.
Lily learned something important that night: never judge someone by how they look. Even the scariest bull might just be waiting for someone to ask, "Will you play with me?"
