The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Pyramids
Finley was no ordinary goldfish. While other fish chased flakes and pebbles, Finley pressed his orange nose against the glass, watching the world beyond his bowl. He dreamed of grand adventures.
One afternoon, his owner Emma carried him outside. The warm sun felt wonderful through the glass. Emma set Finley near a garden pond while she played.
Suddenly, a shadow fell across Finley's bowl. He looked up—and gasped! A massive creature blocked the sky. It had curved horns and the kindest brown eyes Finley had ever seen.
"Hello there, little splash," said the creature. It was a bull named Bruno, but unlike any bull Finley had imagined. Bruno's horns were decorated with daisies, and butterflies rested on his nose.
"I'm Finley," he squeaked. "What are you?"
"I'm a bull," Bruno smiled. "And I'm also your new friend. Would you like to see something magical?"
Finley's fins trembled with excitement. "Yes!"
Bruno carefully lifted Finley's bowl. The goldfish watched trees and houses pass by until they reached a shimmering pond.
"Look," Bruno said softly.
In the middle of the pond, something magnificent rose toward the sky. It wasn't made of stone like the pyramids in Emma's books. This pyramid was made entirely of water, cascading in crystalline streams that glowed with rainbow light. Inside the water pyramid, fish played happily, swimming up and down the liquid walls.
"The Water Pyramid," Bruno whispered. "It appears only for those with pure hearts."
Finley had never seen anything so beautiful.
"Can I go inside?" Finley asked.
Bruno nodded and gently poured Finley into the pond. The goldfish swam toward the pyramid, and as he entered the flowing walls, something magical happened. He could breathe and speak with all the fish inside.
For hours, Finley played with new friends in the shimmering pyramid, learning that the best adventures are the ones shared with others. When Emma called for Bruno to come home, the bull gently helped Finley back to his bowl.
"Will you visit again?" Finley asked.
"Every day," Bruno promised. "That's what friends do."
That night, Finley didn't just dream of pyramids. He dreamed of his friend Bruno and the magical water pyramid, and he knew that even the smallest fish could have the biggest adventures.
