The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Padel

Finn was not an ordinary goldfish. While other fish happily swam in circles, Finn spent his days pressing his nose against the glass of his bowl, watching Emma play padel in the backyard through the window. The way the ball bounced—the *thwack* of the racket, the running and laughing—it made his scales tingle with wonder.

"I wish I could play," Finn bubbled to himself one night. His magical words sparked something extraordinary. With a soft *pop*, Finn grew two tiny legs and hopped right out of his bowl!

But the world outside was dark and spooky. Finn trembled as a groaning voice echoed from the toy box: "BRAAAINS... wait, no—FRIENDS!"

Out wobbled Zed, a plastic zombie toy who had come to life! Zed wasn't scary at all—just lonely and green, with one googly eye that kept spinning. "I've waited years for someone to talk to!" Zed cheered.

"I want to learn padel," Finn said bravely.

"Then we need a coach!" Zed declared. "My cousin Bernard lives in the park. He's a BEAR!"

At dawn, Finn (now the size of a puppy) and Zed tiptoed to the park. There was Bernard—a massive, fluffy brown bear with a padel racket tucked behind his ear.

"A fish and a zombie want to learn padel?" Bernard's belly shook with laughter. "I LOVE IT!"

All week, Bernard taught them. Finn learned to hit the ball with his tail (which turned out to be PERFECT for padel). Zed, even though he was a bit wobbly, had amazing focus. And Emma was so surprised when she found her toy zombie, her goldfish, and a friendly bear playing padel together in the yard!

Finn learned something wonderful: dreams don't have to stay inside your bowl. With friends who believe in you—even zombie friends and bear friends—anything is possible. And sometimes, the most different creatures make the BEST teammates.
