The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Orange Skies

Fin was a small goldfish with a very big dream. Every day, he swam in circles around his blue glass bowl, watching the world beyond. He saw children playing, birds flying, and best of all, he saw the big blue swimming pool in the backyard.

"Someday," Fin would whisper to the plastic castle in his bowl. "Someday I'll swim there."

One sunny afternoon, something wonderful happened. A little girl named Mia was eating an orange by the window. Juice dripped onto her fingers, and she laughed as the sun made her skin sparkle. Then she had an idea.

"Would you like to see the pool, Fin?" Mia asked softly.

Carefully, she carried Fin's bowl outside. The water in the swimming pool shimmered like diamonds. Mia gently lowered Fin into the big blue water.

At first, Fin was scared. The pool was so huge! But then he began swimming, and his heart filled with joy. He was really doing it! He explored the deep end, raced with dragonflies, and made friends with a curious frog named Green.

"This is amazing!" Fin chirped.

As the sun began to set, the sky turned brilliant orange. Fin looked up and gasped. The sky looked just like the orange Mia had been eating — bright and beautiful and full of warmth.

Mia carefully scooped Fin back into his bowl. That night, Fin didn't just swim in circles. He dreamed of orange skies and new friends and brave adventures.

"I may be small," Fin whispered to his plastic castle, "but my heart is as big as the ocean. And that makes all the difference."

From then on, Fin was never bored in his bowl. Because he knew that somewhere, beyond the glass, orange skies were waiting, and true friends are never far away when you're brave enough to explore.
