The Goldfish Who Dreamed of Orange Skies

Lily loved spending summer days by the pool behind her grandmother's house. The pool wasn't anything special—just a round blue thing filled with water. But Lily had a secret.

Every day at exactly three o'clock, when the afternoon sun painted the sky orange, a tiny goldfish would appear at the surface of the pool. His name was Finny, and he was no ordinary goldfish.

"Hello, friend!" Finny would say, his voice sounding like tiny bubbles popping. "Ready for another adventure?"

Lily would lean close to the water's edge, her heart racing with excitement. "Where are we going today, Finny?"

Finny would splash his golden tail, sending ripples across the pool. "Today, we'll visit the Kingdom of Orange Blossoms!"

And just like that, the ordinary pool would transform. The water would turn into a swirling portal of shimmering light. Lily would hold her breath and dive in, suddenly finding herself in a magical world where everything was glowing orange.

They would swim through rivers of orange juice, slide down rainbows made of orange peels, and dance with butterflies that had wings like tiny sunset clouds. Finny would tell her stories about brave explorers and kind friends who helped each other.

One afternoon, Finny seemed sad. His golden scales weren't shining as brightly as usual.

"What's wrong, my friend?" Lily asked gently.

Finny sighed. "I'm lonely when you go home. Being a magical goldfish is wonderful, but adventures are better with friends."

Lily thought hard. Then she had an idea.

The next day, she brought her little brother Timmy to the pool. At exactly three o'clock, when the sky turned orange, Finny appeared.

"Finny, meet Timmy!" Lily said. "He's my best friend, and now he can be your friend too!"

Finny's golden scales sparkled brighter than ever. "The more friends, the more fun!" he cheered.

From that day on, Lily learned something important: magic isn't just about enchanted pools or talking goldfish. The real magic is sharing your adventures with friends. And sometimes, the best gift you can give is introducing your friends to each other.

Now, every orange afternoon, you can find three friends by the pool—Lily, Timmy, and Finny—splashing, laughing, and wondering where their next adventure will take them.
