The Goldfish Who Could Fly
Luna was a goldfish who lived in a small bowl on Mrs. Peabody's windowsill. Every day, she watched the world through the curved glass, dreaming of adventures beyond her tiny home.
One afternoon, something magical happened. A thick black cable snaked through the open window, connected to a shiny new television. As Mrs. Peabody stepped out, Luna noticed the cable glowing with sparkly blue light.
Luna swam closer. The moment her scales touched that glowing cable, something extraordinary happened—she could hear the television's thoughts! It was telling stories about worlds made of candy clouds and rainbow rivers.
“I wish I could see those places,” Luna whispered.
To her surprise, the cable replied, “Hold on tight, little fish!”
Suddenly, Luna wasn't in her bowl anymore. She was floating through the cable like it was a magical tunnel, zooming past explosions of color and sound. She burst out inside the television world!
Everything was amazing. Trees made of chocolate grew jellybean fruits. Rivers flowed with strawberry milk. Luna was having the time of her life—until she met Whiskers.
Whiskers was the most elegant cat Luna had ever seen, with fur like spun silver and eyes that held ancient secrets. But in this world, cats didn't eat fish. They were friends!
“You're the first goldfish who's ever visited here,” Whiskers purred. “Usually, it's just children watching from the other side.”
Luna and Whiskers spent hours running through cotton-candy fields and dancing on marshmallow mushrooms. But as the sky turned purple and twinkled with pixelated stars, Luna knew it was time to return.
“Will I ever see you again?” Luna asked sadly.
Whiskers touched her nose with a soft paw. “Whenever someone wonderful turns on the television, I'll be thinking of you. And you'll always be the goldfish who could fly.”
The cable carried Luna home, and she swam back into her bowl just as Mrs. Peabody returned with a container of fish flakes.
From that day on, Luna was never bored in her bowl. She knew that somewhere beyond the glass, in a world inside the television, a silver cat was her very best friend. And whenever she saw a cable, she smiled, remembering that even the smallest fish can have the biggest adventures.
The end.
