The Goldfish Who Caught Lightning
Bubbles was no ordinary goldfish. While most goldfish were happy swimming in circles, Bubbles spent her days watching the world through her glass bowl on the bookshelf. Next to her sat an old, dusty pyramid—a paper model that belonged to the human child, Leo.
One stormy evening, when the room darkened and rain pattered against the window, something magical happened. A flash of lightning illuminated the room, and suddenly, the paper pyramid began to glow with a soft, golden light.
Bubbles swam closer to the edge of her bowl, her scales shimmering with curiosity. To her amazement, tiny lights—like liquid stars—dripped from the pyramid and into her water. Each spark felt like a tiny vitamin of pure happiness, making her feel stronger and braver than ever before.
"Who's there?" a small voice whispered.
Bubbles turned to find a spider dangling from the shelf above. "I'm Bubbles," she bubbled back, surprised she could speak. "What's your name?"
"I'm Spin," the spider replied, lowering himself carefully. "I've lived here for months, but I've never seen the pyramid glow like that!"
"I think the lightning woke it up," Bubbles said. "Those lights made me feel... magical."
Spin's many eyes widened. "Then we should see what else it can do!"
Together, the new friend followed the glowing trail of lights that led from the pyramid, across the desk, and toward the window. Each light they touched gave them another dose of courage—the kind of vitamin you can't buy in any store.
When they reached the window, the pyramid's magic had done something extraordinary. The raindrops outside had turned into tiny, glowing fish, swimming through the air as if it were water.
"Come on!" Bubbles called, and to her surprise, she leaped right out of her bowl. Instead of falling, she floated, surrounded by the magical air.
Spin created a web-paraglider and joined her. Together they soared through the storm, dancing with lightning and collecting glowing raindrops. They returned to the room just as the storm passed, leaving the pyramid dark once more.
The next morning, Leo found Bubbles happily swimming in her bowl, with Spin resting nearby on a tiny web bed. From that day on, whenever storms came, Bubbles and Spin would share their magical adventures with Leo, who sometimes could almost hear them whispering, "The best vitamins are the ones called friendship and courage—and they're free for anyone brave enough to catch them."
