The Goldfish's Secret Pyramid

Lily peered into the blue water of her backyard pool. Something shimmered beneath the surface—a tiny goldfish with scales like sunset oranges and pinks.

"Hello!" Lily waved. The goldfish swam to the edge and spoke in a bubbly voice, "I'm Finn! I've been waiting for someone brave enough to help me."

Lily knelt down. "Help you with what?"

Finn swam in excited circles. "My pyramid! It's hidden at the bottom of this pool, but I can't open it alone. Only human hands can unlock its magic."

Lily's eyes widened. A pyramid at the bottom of her pool? She took a deep breath and dove in.

The water felt warm and sparkly. As she swam deeper, she saw it—a golden pyramid, no bigger than a shoebox, glowing softly on the pool floor. Ancient symbols decorated its sides.

She pushed it open with both hands. WHOOSH! Bubbles swirled around her as the pyramid revealed its treasure: a tiny crown made of seashells.

"This belongs to the Mermaid Queen!" Finn exclaimed. "She lost it years ago!" He wiggled happily. "You're a true friend, Lily!"

But the crown was too small for Lily. She looked at Finn, then at the crown. "Wait—maybe this is for someone else."

She noticed a sad-faced frog sitting on the pool's edge. The frog had been watching them.

Lily swam up and placed the seashell crown on the frog's head. It fit perfectly! The frog transformed into a tiny prince with sparkling green eyes.

"Thank you!" the Frog Prince cheered. "I was cursed for being selfish. Your kindness broke the spell!"

He waved his hand, and the pool turned into the most beautiful swimming hole anyone had ever seen, complete with slides and fountains.

Finn the goldfish grinned. "You didn't keep the treasure for yourself. You shared it. That's the real magic."

Lily smiled, understanding now. Some adventures aren't about what you find—they're about who you help along the way.
