The Goldfish's Secret Mission
Oliver never suspected his pet goldfish was a secret agent. But one Tuesday night, he woke up to see Finn glowing with rainbow scales. Finn tapped on the glass.
"Psst! Oliver! I'm a spy from the Magic Kingdom! The garden sphinx needs our help!"
Oliver rubbed his eyes. "A sphinx? Like from stories?"
"Exactly! But something is wrong. Come quick!"
Finn leaped out of his bowl and sprouted tiny fairy wings. Oliver followed him outside, where the old stone sphinx in their garden was pacing back and forth, looking worried.
"Thank goodness you're here," said the sphinx, whose name was Sophie. "Zombie garden gnomes have taken over my flower bed! They're not scary—they're just confused and lonely. But they keep knocking over my tulips trying to dance!"
Oliver peeked over the stone wall. Five clay gnomes were wobbling around, tripping over each other and crushing the flowers. They looked sad, not scary.
"They just want friends," said Finn. "Nobody ever plays with them because they think zombies are mean."
Ollier had an idea. He ran inside and brought back his toy music box. When he wound it up, the zombie gnomes stopped stomping. They swayed to the music, clumsy smiles appearing on their painted faces.
Sophie the sphinx laughed. "They're not zombies—they're just rhythmically challenged garden dancers!"
The gnomes bowed and began carefully replanting the tulips they'd knocked over. One even gave Oliver a flower.
"Mission accomplished," said Finn, his scales shimmering. "Being a spy isn't just about catching bad guys. It's about understanding hearts—even zombie ones."
Oliver learned that sometimes the scariest things just need a little music and friendship. And from then on, every full moon, he, Finn, Sophie, and the zombie gnomes had garden dance parties under the stars.
