The Goldfish's Pyramid Wish

Lily knelt beside the pond in her grandmother's garden, her long brown hair falling over her eyes. She peered into the clear water and gasped. A tiny goldfish with sparkling orange scales floated right up to the surface.

"Hello there, little friend," Lily whispered, dipping her palm into the cool water.

To her surprise, the goldfish spoke! "My name is Finley, and I need your help, Lily!"

Lily nearly fell backward. "You can talk?"

"Magic fish can do many things," Finley said proudly. "But I've lost something precious. My family's golden pyramid — it's been missing for three hundred years!"

Lily's eyes grew wide. "A golden pyramid? Underwater?"

"Not underwater!" Finley swam in excited circles. "It's hidden in the Desert of Dreams, beyond the seven rainbow dunes. Will you help me find it?"

Without thinking twice, Lily nodded. Finley instructed her to splash water from the pond onto her hair. Suddenly, Lily felt lighter than air. When she opened her eyes, she was standing in a magical desert where the sand sparkled like diamonds.

Hand in fin (well, almost), they journeyed across the seven rainbow dunes. Along the way, they met a lonely camel who needed friendship, and Lily shared her water with him. The camel promised to help them if they ever needed anything.

Finally, they reached an oasis where an ancient palm tree grew. At its base sat a tiny golden pyramid, no bigger than Lily's thumb!

"That's it!" Finley cheered. "But wait — something's wrong."

A small lizard was crying beside the pyramid. "This pyramid belongs to everyone," the lizard sniffled. "My grandfather says it grants one wish to anyone who finds it, but only if they share it."

Lily thought hard. She could wish for anything — more toys, endless candy, or even the ability to fly. But she looked at Finley, who had traveled so far, and at the lizard who guarded it so faithfully.

"I wish," Lily said clearly, "that everyone who finds this pyramid will have a wonderful friend to share their adventures with!"

The pyramid glowed brighter than the sun. In that moment, Lily, Finley, the lizard, and even the camel from the dunes all felt the warmth of true friendship.

When Lily opened her eyes again, she was back beside the pond. But now, swimming alongside Finley, were three new fish friends. And in her pocket sat a tiny golden pyramid pyramid charm — a reminder that the best wishes are the ones we share with others.

From that day on, Lily visited the pond every day, and she never wondered what to wish for again. She had already found something better than magic — true friends.
