The Goldfish's Magical Wish

Lily discovered something extraordinary in her grandmother's garden. Behind the old oak tree, a tiny pond sparkled with rainbow colors. Inside swam the most beautiful goldfish she had ever seen, with scales like sunset and eyes full of ancient wisdom.

"Hello, little friend," the goldfish spoke in a voice like water bubbles.

Lily gasped. "You can talk?"

"I can grant three wishes," said the goldfish. "But choose wisely. Magic works in mysterious ways."

In her excitement, Lily wished her garden would be more fun. Suddenly, spinach plants began growing faster than she could blink! They twisted together until they formed a perfect padel court, with spinach leaves bouncing like tennis balls.

Her best friend Mateo climbed over the fence, eyes wide. "Lily! Your garden—it's amazing!"

They played for hours, laughing as spinach balls sailed through the air. But soon the spinach grew wild, twisting around everything.

"Make another wish!" Mateo cried.

Lily looked at the goldfish, now worried. "I wish the garden would be perfect again."

Suddenly, everything transformed. The spinach settled into neat rows, flowers bloomed everywhere, and a magnificent palm tree appeared, offering perfect shade.

"One wish left," reminded the goldfish.

Lily thought carefully. She could wish for anything—more toys, endless candy, a castle. But as she looked at Mateo's smiling face and the beautiful garden, she realized something important.

"I wish that my friend Mateo could visit this magical garden whenever he wants, and that we never forget that the best magic is sharing joy with people you love."

The goldfish smiled, and its scales glowed brighter than ever. The palm tree's fronds waved gently as if applauding.

"That," said the goldfish, "was the perfect wish."

And so every afternoon, Lily and Mateo played padel in their magical garden, where spinach sometimes bounced like balls, the goldfish told wonderful stories, and they learned that the real magic wasn't in wishes at all—it was in friendship, laughter, and sharing your happiness with others.
