The Goldfish's Magical Journey
Lily loved her shiny blue iPhone, but today she put it down on the grass. Something more magical was happening in her garden.
In the small pond, her pet goldfish Finny was splashing. Tiny circles of water rippled outward, catching the sunlight. But these weren't ordinary ripples—they were glowing golden!
"Lily!" Finny called out in a bubbling voice. "The Ancient Pyramid needs us!"
Lily's eyes widened. Her goldfish could talk!
"But how?" she asked.
"When lightning strikes the water at just the right moment, anything becomes possible!" Finny explained. "And tonight, the Great Storm of Wonders comes!"
That evening, storm clouds gathered. Lily and her family sat by the window, watching raindrops tap against the glass. Suddenly—CRACK! A bolt of purple lightning shot across the sky!
"Now!" whispered Finny, who was swimming in a special bowl beside Lily.
Another lightning bolt flashed, and something amazing happened. The water in Finny's bowl began to swirl and rise, forming a shimmering pyramid made entirely of water droplets!
"Step inside," Finny invited.
Lily reached out, and her hand passed right through the water pyramid. Inside, it wasn't wet at all—it was warm and filled with tiny floating lights, like stars you could hold in your palm.
"This is the Water Pyramid," Finny explained. "It appears once every hundred years. It grants one wish to someone with a pure heart."
Lily thought carefully. She could wish for anything—to fly, to talk to animals, for infinite candy.
Then she looked at her iPhone on the table, and at Finny swimming happily in his bowl.
"I wish," Lily said softly, "that every child could have a friend who makes them smile as much as Finny makes me smile."
The water pyramid sparkled brighter than ever. Then it gently dissolved into mist, settling back into Finny's bowl.
"A perfect wish," Finny said with a happy wiggle. "Friendship is the greatest magic of all."
Outside, the storm passed, leaving a rainbow across the sky. Lily picked up her iPhone to take a picture of the rainbow, but she knew some moments were too special for screens. The best magic lived in your heart.
