The Goldfish's Magic Wish

Lily loved her goldfish, Finny, who swam in a glass bowl on her nightstand. Every night, Finny would blow tiny bubbles that sparkled like little stars.

One sunny afternoon, Lily was running through the park when she noticed something strange. An old zombie named Zed sat beneath a tall palm tree, looking sad. Zed wasn't scary at all—he wore a bright orange shirt and had the kindest eyes Lily had ever seen.

"What's wrong?" Lily asked, stopping beside him.

Zed sighed. "I'm supposed to be scary, but I'm terrible at it. Kids just laugh when I try to say 'Rawr!'"

Finny's fish bowl, which Lily had brought along, suddenly glowed with golden light. Finny swam to the surface and whispered, "Make a wish!"

Lily remembered something wonderful. "Zed, you don't have to be scary! Maybe you were meant to make people happy instead!"

Zed's green face brightened. "You really think so?"

"I know so!" said Lily. "Would you like to see something magical?"

Lily held up Finny's bowl. The little goldfish did a flip, and suddenly Zed wasn't a zombie anymore—he was a friendly guardian with sparkly blue skin and a warm smile.

"Thank you!" Zed cheered. "I'll watch over the park and make sure every child feels safe!"

From that day on, whenever children ran past the palm tree, Zed would wave and sometimes share his favorite treat—sweet, juicy oranges. And Lily learned that the best magic is believing in yourself and helping others find their true purpose.

Finny just swam happily in his bowl, proud of the adventure he'd made possible with just one tiny bubble of magic.
