The Goldfish's Magic Wish

Emma's room was quiet except for the gentle bubble, bubble of her goldfish's tiny mouth. His name was Finnegan, and he was the most beautiful orange goldfish in the world, with scales that shimmered like tiny suns.

"I wish I had a friend to play with," Emma sighed, pressing her nose against the glass bowl. "Just you and me isn't enough sometimes."

Finnegan swam closer to the glass. What Emma didn't know was that Finnegan was no ordinary goldfish. He was a magical fish from the Kingdom of Dreams, sent to find someone with a kind heart.

That night, when moonlight spilled across Emma's floor, something extraordinary happened. Finnegan began to glow with a soft golden light. The fishbowl didn't hold water anymore—it held swirling sparkles!

"Emma," Finnegan said, in a voice like gentle ripples. "I've been waiting for you to make a wish. I am your friend, and I have magic to share."

Emma's eyes grew wide as dinner plates. "You can TALK?"

Finnegan explained about the Kingdom of Dreams and how children everywhere were forgetting how to imagine and play. "The world needs more wonder," he said, blowing a magical bubble that floated toward Emma. "This is a Dream Bubble. One taste, and you'll see the world the way it should be—full of magic and possibility."

But there was a catch. The bubble needed something special to work properly. It needed... a vitamin!

"Not just any vitamin," Finnegan explained. "It's the Vitamin of Wonder, found only in the most magical places—like the first laugh of a baby, the smell of rain on dry earth, or the feeling of sand between your toes."

Emma thought hard. She knew just where to find the Vitamin of Wonder! She ran to her window and closed her eyes, remembering how she felt when she watched stars appear, one by one, in the purple evening sky. That feeling of pure amazement—that was it!

She whispered that feeling into the bubble, and suddenly—POOF!—Emma could see magic everywhere. Fireflies carried tiny lanterns. Flowers hummed soft lullabies. And best of all, she could see other children's dreams floating like glowing jellyfish.

"Now," said Finnegan, "let's go make some friends!"

Together, Emma and her goldfish friend visited children who had forgotten how to dream big. They shared the Vitamin of Wonder—teaching them that magic lives in kindness, curiosity, and believing in yourself.

Emma learned something wonderful that night: the best friends aren't always the ones you expect. Sometimes they're small and orange and swim in a bowl. And the real magic wasn't in Finnegan's powers—it was in sharing wonder with others.

Every night now, Emma and Finnegan go on small adventures, spreading the Vitamin of Wonder wherever they go. Because everyone needs a friend who helps them see the magic in the world.
