The Goldfish's Magic Pyramid
Lily was bored on a rainy afternoon. Her mom's old iPhone lay on the table, its screen cracked but still working. "I wish something magical would happen," Lily sighed, petting her fluffy golden dog, Sunny, who wagged his tail understandingly.
Suddenly, the iPhone screen began to glow with swirls of rainbow light! Before Lily's eyes, her small plastic pyramid from school—where she kept her secret treasures—started to grow taller and taller until it reached the ceiling!
Inside the glowing pyramid, her pet goldfish, Goldie, swam through the air as if it were water. Goldie had always seemed special with his shimmering orange scales, but now he was absolutely magical!
"Lily!" Goldie spoke in a bubbly voice. "The Magic Pyramid of Imagination needs you! The Dream Crystal is fading, and only someone with a big heart can help restore it."
Sunny barked excitedly and jumped into the pyramid too. His fur turned sparkly, and he grew butterfly wings!
"Come on!" said Goldie. "Take my fin!"
Lily reached out, and suddenly she could swim through the air too. Together—girl, goldfish, and winged dog—they floated through a tunnel made of stardust and giggles.
At the center of the pyramid, they found a beautiful crystal that looked like a frozen rainbow. It was growing dim.
"To restore the magic," Goldie explained, "you need to share your happiest memory and your kindest wish."
Lily thought hard. "My happiest memory is when Sunny found me crying in the garden last week, and he licked my face until I laughed. And my kindest wish is for every lonely person to find a friend like him."
As she spoke, the crystal blazed with golden light! The pyramid filled with warmth and music that sounded like bubbles popping.
"You did it!" cheered Goldie. "The Magic Pyramid will keep shining as long as children like you share kindness and friendship."
When Lily blinked, she was back in her room. The pyramid was small again, Goldie was swimming in his bowl, and Sunny was just a regular dog—though he gave her an extra-waggy tail thump.
But sometimes, on rainy afternoons, the iPhone still glows with rainbow light, reminding Lily that magic lives in kindness, friendship, and the courage to believe in impossible things.
And Goldie? He still winks at her with his wise orange eye, as if sharing a wonderful secret.
