The Goldfish's Magic Phone
Lily's pet goldfish Finley wasn't ordinary. Every night at midnight, he would swim to the top of his bowl and blow bubbles that glowed like tiny stars.
One evening, Lily dropped her iPhone near Finley's bowl while cleaning her room. Suddenly, Finley swam through the glass and leaped into the phone screen!
"Where are we going?" Lily cried, touching the screen.
"To make new friends!" Finley's voice chimed from the phone.
*Whoosh!* Lily found herself in a magical meadow where a giant bull with golden fur stood tossing a baseball in the air. The bull caught sight of Lily and smiled gently.
"Hello there! I'm Barnaby. Want to play padel?" The bull pulled a racquet from behind his ear.
Lily had never played padel before, but her iPhone now had a magic button labeled "Help Me Play." She pressed it, and suddenly knew exactly how to swing the racquet.
Barnaby cheered as Lily hit the ball over the moon. "Wonderful! Now baseball?"
The iPhone conjured a baseball field, and they played until stars appeared. Barnaby had never had a friend before.
"Time to go," Finley reminded.
"Will I see you again?" Barnaby asked, his eyes shimmering.
Lily pressed "Visit Friend" on her magical iPhone. "Every night!"
Back in her room, Lily cuddled Finley's bowl. Sometimes the best friends come in the most unexpected packages—even goldfish and bulls.
