The Goldfish's Magic Phone
In the blue pool behind old Mr. Higgins' house lived Fin, an orange goldfish with shimmering scales that caught every spark of sunlight. Fin wasn't like other goldfish. While they swam in lazy circles, Fin dreamed of adventures beyond the tiled walls.
One hot summer afternoon, something splashed into the pool with a plop! A small rectangular object sank slowly toward the bottom. Fin, being the bravest fish in the pool, swam down to investigate.
It was an iphone, its screen glowing with tiny bubbles. When Fin's nose touched the screen, it lit up with rainbow colors!
"Hello?" called a voice. "Is anyone there?"
Fin jumped — well, as much as a fish can jump. A girl's face appeared on the screen! Her name was Mia, and she was peering through her own iphone, searching for her lost device.
"You're an orange goldfish!" Mia gasped, her eyes wide. "And you're glowing!"
"I'm Fin," he somehow knew to say. The magic phone let them talk!
Every day after school, Mia would sit by the pool, talking to Fin through the iphone that had become his friend-maker. She told him about her adventures — climbing trees, riding bikes, chasing butterflies. Fin told her about his world — the secrets of the deep end, the way moonlight danced on water at night, and the tiny water bugs that performed acrobatic shows.
"I wish you could see my world," Mia sighed one afternoon, dipping her toes in the cool water.
Fin had an idea. A magical, wonderful idea. He swam to the surface and splashed water droplets onto the iphone screen. The droplets sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight, and suddenly, the screen projected moving pictures into the air!
Mia watched in wonder as holographic images showed Fin's world: the secret cave behind the waterfall, the family of frogs who sang opera at dusk, the ancient turtle who knew stories from a hundred years ago.
From that day on, they were the best of friends, sharing two worlds through one magical iphone. Fin learned that friendship doesn't need sameness — it just needs someone willing to listen to your stories.
And somewhere, in the magic of childhood imagination, an orange goldfish and a girl proved that the best friendships can happen in the most unexpected ways — even through a phone at the bottom of a pool.
