The Goldfish's Golden Secret

Emma peered into her fishbowl, watching tiny Fin swirl his orange tail. She'd just had the worst day—kids at school laughed at her painting. Fin nibbled his fish flakes, then did something impossible. He swam to the surface and whispered, "The secret pyramid opens tonight."

Emma gasped. "You can talk?"

"Only when magic is near," Fin bubbled. "Meet me in the garden at midnight."

That night, Emma crept outside. There, glowing softly among the roses, stood a miniature pyramid no taller than her knee. Fin swam in a floating bubble beside her.

"Touch it," he said.

Emma's fingers brushed the crystal surface. WHOOSH! They tumbled through swirling colors and landed in a meadow filled with starflowers.

A huge bear padded toward them. Emma shrank back, but the bear smiled gently.

"Welcome, Emma," said Barnaby the bear. "I've been waiting."

"You have?"

"Every child who doubts themselves finds us eventually." Barnaby opened his paw to reveal a single glowing capsule. "This is the勇气 vitamin—Courage Vitamin. It grows only in the Dream Pyramid."

Emma's eyes widened. "Magic vitamins?"

"The most powerful kind," said Fin, who was now the size of a dolphin. "One sip, and you'll believe in yourself as much as your friends believe in you."

Emma thought about her best friend Mia, who always said Emma's paintings were beautiful. "But why do I need magic? I should just believe in myself."

Barnaby nodded approval. "Exactly. The vitamin only works if you already know the truth—that your art matters because it comes from your heart."

Emma smiled. She didn't need to swallow anything after all. She hugged Barnaby, thanked Fin, and found herself back in her bedroom.

At school Monday, Emma painted her biggest, brightest fish ever swimming beside a friendly bear under a glowing pyramid.

Mia clapped. "That's magical!"

Emma beamed. She'd finally found her courage—the kind that comes from friendship and believing in your own heart.
